How K-pop’s Jessica Jung spends her wealth

from Cartier watches to Maserati cars and Hèrmes Birkins, the  star-turned fashion entrepreneur believes in buying luxury that lasts

• Jung’s many successes include starring in the Korean version of musical Legally Blonde, penning a bestselling book and starting fashion brand Blanc & Eclare
• As a result, she gets to count Lee Min-ho and Hyun Bin as neighbours, has an Hermès bag collection to die for, and gets to travel the world with sister Krystal

It’s perhaps no surprise then that she found herself on the “Forbes 30 Under 30” list in 2017 and her business has continued to expand ever since. On the occasion of her 32nd birthday, on April 18, we’ve decided to raise a toast to her many accomplishments as we take a look at some of the things she loves to spend her hard-earned cash on.

Her Hermès bag collection

Jung has been seen sporting Birkin bags of different colours and sizes on many an outing over the years, as well as other Hermès bags including the Kelly, the Lindy and the Toolbox.

In a YouTube video entitled “My Forever Favourite Fashion Items”, Jessica shared her shopping tips for how to buy the best quality products, explaining why you should go for classic pieces and then really love them. She still adores the first Hermès bag she picked up in 2013 – a camel brown Herbag in canvas which she says she loves for its spaciousness and effortless look.

It’s been reported that she’ now a VVIP customer of Hermès Paris, even buddying up with Michael Coste, the brand’s head of external relations.

Her jewellery and watch collection

Jung also gave fans a peek at her jewellery collection via her YouTube channel, displaying a powder-pink tiered jewellery box filled with luxurious pieces, from Bulgari Serpenti Viper 18-carat rose gold earrings to an Hermès Ever Chaine d’Ancre ring and a Cartier Tank Solo watch. She also claims to be a big lover of pearls, especially the Celine Dot Triple Pearl earrings that her sister Krystal bought her.

She explains that she has been obsessed with watches since her early twenties, when a friend working at Cartier opened her eyes to the world of watches. Another of her tips is to switch up the colour of the leather strap for different occasions – like red for holiday season, adding that if she really loves a particular item, she’ll always buy it in different colours.

Also according to Mnet’s TMI News, Jessica owns a Maserati Quattroporte Italian supercar, best known among car fanatics for its sleek design and impressive engine.

It’s also not too hard to see that the Korean diva loves spending her money on international travel. From Paris to Switzerland to the Bahamas, an array of glamorous destinations have 

shown up in her social media photos

 in recent years. She’s also known for making quite the stir when she shows up airports around the world

In one YouTube video, titled Virtual Travels, she answered several questions about her globetrotting habits, sharing that – alongside Krystal – she likes to collect magnets from the place she’s visiting and to write postcards to her family from whichever city she’s in. Although the pandemic has paused her international travel, Jessica said in the video that Hawaii is next on her bucket list.

Investing in her business empire

Despite the pandemic, Jessica has kept herself busy with various projects, with her Blanc & Eclare going from strength to strength.

Earlier this year, she opened the first Seoul flagship store of Blanc & Eclare in Cheongdam-dong. Before this, the brand was sold in almost 60 stores across the world, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York and Shanghai. Exciting fans even more, she then opened a restaurant called Clareau soon afterward in the same building. The question is, what will this talented Korean-American woman do next?
