The K-pop idol
shows off Louis Vuitton and Fendi fashion on Instagram, and gives gifts to
K-drama friends like Girl’s Day’s Hyeri
South Korean singer-songwriter Kim Tae-yeon isn’t just recognised for her work with beloved K-pop group Girls’ Generation, but also for her soulful solo projects, since striking out alone as a solo Taeyeon in 2014.
It’s might be no surprise that the 32-year-old’s popularity both in South Korea and around the world has banked her millions, with net worth estimates starting at US$8 million, but how does she spend it?
She gives to charity
She prioritises her physical and mental health
Taeyeon also keeps fit by doing Pilates, occasionally sharing snaps of her sessions with fans.
Her support for her friends is through the roof
She has an eye for luxury
The singer has a passion for luxury brands, and lets fans in on her world of expensive clothes and accessories through her Instagram. One fan did a rundown of the brands that Taeyeon often wears in her posts, revealing that she seems to favour Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Alexa Chung and Fendi.
She loves her cute grey poodle Zero
When it comes to Taeyeon’s grey poodle Zero, only the best pet food and accessories will do. In fact, she loves her dog so much that she even launched a clothing line in his honour, in collaboration with Korean brand SPAO, which made over 1 billion won (US$880,000) in less than four months. In keeping with her generous spirit, Taeyeon also donated a percentage of the proceeds to help abandoned pets and animals in South Korea.
Zero has appeared to be a constant support for the idol ever since she first welcomed him in 2017. She also created an Instagram account especially for her pooch, sharing plenty of adorable photos of them together.
